 He could look into maximizing the bass cabinets w/the L1 or L2 system. Each system will run two bass cabinets from one stick. However, you can double this by purchasing the BOSE amplifier that will drive two bass cabinets. So, he can run 4 bass cabinets from one stick - two off the system and two off the amplifier. BOSE makes it easy to hook it all up, as it is very intuitively built.

There is no bass response difference between the L1 and the L2 systems.

  A full-time musician friend plays acoustic gtr, banjo, vocals, with bass 
pedals that he plays with his feet.  He is looking to replace his 30 year old 
Bose PA (the small speakers on a stand type) with which he uses a large bass 
cabinet to accommodate his bass pedals.  He is experimenting with the Bose stick 
system, using both one and two of them at a time.  He likes them fine except 
that the bass isn't as deep and punchy as his old system.  He has tried both the 
new and older version of these sticks.  I'd like to know if either one is better 
for his use as described above and if anyone has suggestions that he could use 
to improve the bass response of the L1's for use with his bass pedals.  Tia.
